This article analyzes the socio-psychological determinants of the marginalization process observed among students of higher education institutions. Globalization, urbanization, the expansion of digital communication tools, and factors of social inequality significantly influence students’ identity formation, social adaptation, and psychological well-being. In the context of societal transformation, young people—especially students—are at the center of social change. The period of student life is characterized by the formation of personal identity, value systems, and professional self-determination. At the same time, this stage carries a high risk of socio-psychological instability. The concept of marginalization was first developed within sociology and refers to an individual’s detachment from the main social structures and institutions of society or the inability to fully integrate into them. Among students, marginalization manifests through social isolation, uncertainty of social identity, low self-esteem, and conflicting perceptions of social roles.
