this article provides a comprehensive analysis of the psychological and pedagogical essence of the concept of creative thinking, its structure, and its role in the primary education system. The formation of creative thinking is examined in close connection with the development of students’ cognitive processes, independent and critical thinking, learning motivation, and personal competencies. Taking into account the psychological characteristics of primary school children, the pedagogical conditions, effective methods, and approaches for developing creative thinking are substantiated. Furthermore, based on scientific evidence, the importance of creative thinking in shaping a well-developed, socially active, and competitive personality is revealed.
