In the context of intensive digitalization, the course “Informatics and Information Technologies” plays a crucial role in shaping students’ information culture and digital competencies. Its content line covers working with information, developing algorithmic thinking, using computer technologies in a conscious and rational way and acquiring basic knowledge of information security. Therefore, there is a growing need to rethink the didactic foundations of informatics teaching and to integrate classical didactic principles with the emerging approaches of digital pedagogy.
