Ceramics is considered an ancient and innovative art of the East, which created wonderful beauty from black clay. Pottery is practiced by all the peoples of the world. They differ from each other in their features. Uzbek ceramics have a long history, wonderful traditions, form-content, creative process and unique style. Pottery is an industry where bowls, plates, jugs, pots, tandoor and other objects are made from clay, as well as a variety of toys, a process and a unique style. Despite their simplicity, ceramic products are known all over the world for their appearance, durability, precision of details and artistic arrangement of patterns. AIM: the aim of the study is to analyze the historical, cultural, and artistic aspects of pottery, with a focus on Uzbek traditions, and to explore its role in shaping aesthetic values, craftsmanship, and cultural identity. MATERIALS AND METHODS: the research material consists of historical sources, ethnographic observations, and artistic analyses of pottery artifacts. The study employs comparative cultural analysis, descriptive methods, and stylistic examination of pottery forms, decorations, and techniques. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: the findings show that pottery serves both practical and artistic purposes, producing items such as bowls, plates, jars, ovens, and toys. Uzbek pottery is distinguished by its simplicity, durability, precise forms, and artistic ornamentation, which have gained international recognition. The discussion emphasizes the creative processes, stylistic features, and cultural symbolism embedded in pottery, as well as its connection to architecture and everyday life. CONCLUSION: in conclusion, pottery represents a vital cultural and artistic heritage that combines functionality with aesthetic beauty. Uzbek pottery, with its rich history and unique style, continues to contribute to global recognition of craftsmanship. The study underscores the importance of preserving and promoting pottery traditions as part of cultural identity and artistic development.
