Aim: to examine the pedagogical role of etude exercises in actor training and to analyze their effectiveness in fostering creative thinking and stage expression. Materials and Methods: the study applies pedagogical analysis, observation of acting classes, and interpretative synthesis of theatre training practices. etude exercises are examined in terms of their stages, structure, and outcomes. Results and Discussion: findings show that etudes enhance students’ ability to improvise, create characters, and analyze situational contexts. they foster psychophysical freedom, stage attention, and independent creative decision-making. pedagogically, etudes serve as a bridge between theory and practice, helping students internalize acting techniques through experiential learning. Conclusion: etude exercises are a vital component of actor training. they develop creative thinking, improvisation, and character-building skills, while also cultivating stage culture and independent artistic expression. their pedagogical significance lies in their ability to integrate creativity with discipline in theatre education.
