Introduction: this article discusses the expression of the images of the four elements (water, fire, earth, air) in the poetry of Erkin Vohidov and their interpretation in Uzbek poetry. The article analyzes these images in the poet's poems. It also presents thoughts on the interpretations of these images. Purpose: to analyze the artistic expression of water, fire, earth, and air in Vohidov’s poetry, and to explore their symbolic and mythological interpretations within the broader context of Uzbek literary tradition. Materials and Methods: the study applies literary analysis, mythological comparison, and interpretative synthesis. selected poems of Erkin Vohidov are examined to identify the functions of elemental imagery in shaping poetic meaning. Results and Discussion: findings show that water often symbolizes purity, renewal, and continuity of life; fire represents passion, struggle, and transformation; earth embodies stability, homeland, and cultural roots; air conveys freedom, spirituality, and transcendence. Vohidov’s use of these images demonstrates the integration of mythological archetypes with national poetic traditions. Conclusion: the imagery of the four elements in Erkin Vohidov’s poetry enriches Uzbek literature by linking universal mythological symbols with local cultural values. their interpretation reveals the depth of poetic thought and the enduring relevance of elemental archetypes in modern literary expression.
