INTRODUCTION: the rapid development of global digitalization and generative artificial intelligence technologies, along with the integration of Eastern and Western musical traditions into a single global database, necessitates a revision of traditional approaches to musical creativity. RESEARCH PROBLEM: in an environment where generative algorithms can instantly create flawless sonic forms, there is a risk of the creator transforming into a mere consumer, confined within the limits of artificial combinatorics. This situation demands a radical shift in the roles and objectives of composers and musicians in contemporary art. ANALYSIS METHODS: the article employs methods of comparative analysis of Eastern and Western musical approaches, modeling of creative processes in a digital environment, as well as methods of systems analysis and functional analogies. RESULTS: the study scientifically substantiates a new status for the creator operating in a digital computing environment—the status of a "curator of meanings." It is demonstrated that while digital technologies work exclusively with the mathematics of waves, the human being—acting as an intellectual filter and harmoniously blending the values of East and West—endows the work with emotional depth, a unique cultural code, and authentic artistic value. CONCLUSIONS: based on the aforementioned factors, the necessity of reforming the modern system of digital music education is demonstrated. New approaches are substantiated, aimed at fostering not only performance skills in students but also complex, systemic, and conscious creative thinking.
