How to use the OAK journal list
As of 03.08.2026 the OAK list of Uzbekistan contains 1716 journals: 510 national, 727 CIS and 479 foreign. An article counts as a dissertation result only if it is in a listed journal, and only in the subject area for which the journal was added.

- See which subject areas the journal is listed under and since when: treat earlier publications with caution.
- Compare the result with the list on oak.uz, which is authoritative.

Is it enough that the journal is on the list?
No. An article counts if the journal is listed for the subject area of your dissertation. A journal listed for another area does not qualify.
How often is the list updated?
The OAK updates the list by decisions of its Presidium. We load the current version from oak.uz and show its issue date. The list on the OAK website is authoritative.
